Geagea responds to Aoun’s concern over mass graves
Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea said Lebanon was in a time of “poor leadership” which aimed at “uncovering lies from the underground,” noting that the recent frenzy around the alleged mass graves would only harm Lebanese society.
During a meeting with a delegation representing the LF social affairs unit, Geagea said what the resistance was facing today was “more difficult than military resistance in wartime,” adding that the tactics of the opponents’ was to “make life hell, and set tires on fire, cut roads off and cause chaos and riots.”
Geagea said this only further frustrated the Lebanese people and paralyzed the economy, articulating the need to continue to actively resist such attempts for the survival of Lebanon and for “pride in our Lebanese identity” despite the difficult and at times turbulent situation in Lebanon. Geagea also hoped the Lebanese would soon “live under normal circumstances.”
