صدر عن الدائرة الإعلامية في القوات اللبنانبة البيان الآتي:
تستنكر القوات اللبنانية بشدّة التعرض للجيش من اي طرف او فئة كانت، وتتقدم من قيادته بأحرّ التعازي على استشهاد ضباط وجنود في صفوفه.
ان القوات اللبنانية تؤكد وقوفها بقوة مع الجيش دعما له في وجه كل من يهدد الإستقرار والأمن الوطنيين.
Even though I have things against the Lebanese Army
but I still consider it the best organziation.
I wish it reacted when Hizbullah ravaged Beirut it
would have helped and gave it more Credibility.
In every country, shooting at the Army is a felony
and its penalty is Death. They ought to apply this in
lebanon and let the Army rules. Either we have an Army
or we don’t.
It’s ashamed that some are killing Lebanese Army Men
for their own benefit.
I am afraid of the consequences in Saida’s incident
we might see Al-Assir gaining more power and the Army
weaken. That’s always been the case in Lebanon.
One thing for sure the Sunnis hate the Army more than any other religion
MAYBE that’s something to consider.
