كانت حرب تموز 2006. 33 يوما من الرعب غير المتوازن. أوصال لبنان مقطّعة. محافظاته متداخلة. الجنوب نزح الى البقاع وبيروت والجبل، البقاع بعضه صار في بيروت وغير أماكن، كسروان تحت رحمة طائرات الاستطلاع الاسرائيلية، “المقاومون” يزرعون الرعب اينما حلّوا، الجيش اللبناني بكل قواه بكل قواه يدافع عن القرى والناس ويستشهد بغزارة، الناس يستشهدون تحت وابل الرعب الاسرائيلي، نزوح، دمار هائل، طرق مقطّعة الاوصال، قصف جسر طريق ضهر البيدر أعلى الجسور في الشرق الاوسط، قصف جسر الفيدار، لبنان في الحرب، في الظلام الدامس. لا افق، لا بادرة أمل توحي بتوقّف هدير الموت. كان هذا قبل تلك الليلية، 14 آب، لم يكن شيئا على الاطلاق يوحي بان نهاية ما قريبة ستُكتب لهذه الحرب العبثية المدمّرة للانسان والكيان. هي حرب “لو كنت أعلم” كما كلنا صار يعلم. وفجأة يتناهى الى أسماعنا خبر انتهاء الحرب واعلان وقف اطلاق النار، ويوجّه “سيد” المقاومة نداء الى أبناء الجنوب للعودة الى منازلهم، ولا منازل… لم نستوعب. خاف الناس التجاوب. ظنوا ان ثمة كمين يحضّر لهم. ماذا حدث في يوم وليلة؟!! عاد لبنان ورتّب بيته. عاد الجنوب الى الجنوب والبقاع الى بقاعه. انتهت ضيافة اللبنانيين لبعضهم البعض. كان عرسا حقيقيا في التضامن. لم يقفل بيت أومدرسة أو مؤسسة بوجه من شرّدتهم المدافع من كرامتهم. كلنا كنا في بيت واحد نتقاسم الهمّ والخوف والخبز والسؤال، لماذا هذه الحرب؟ بأي حق تُشن علينا؟ بأي حق ندخل حربا ولبنان لم يقررها؟…ليلة عيد انتقال السيدة العذراء انتهت الاسئلة. كانت لهفة العودة الى الحياة أكبر من أي سؤال. في غمرة الخوف وتحت أزيز الصواريخ، نسينا لوهلة ان ثمة عين لا تفغل عنّا. في غمرة الحقد ننسى الحب. كانت هي، من فوق، ترافق الاطفال في بكائهم وتشرّدهم، واللبنانيين كل اللبنانيين، في نبض اليأس الذي كان بدأ يتآكلهم. ليلة عيدها نثرت العطر فوق أرض البخور التي حوّلوها أرض الرماد والجمر. فلشت ثوبها الازرق فوق رجائنا، سمعنا صوتها يقول لنا “لا تخافوا أنا معكم”. كانت معنا، نحن الذين رغم الحرب المسلّطة على مصيرنا، قاومنا بالايمان. لم نكن نملك غير سلاح. كان الجيش يستشهد كل يوم كل يوم، الناس يسقطون كشلالات مياه في هاوية سحيقة، نحو 1200 شهيد في شهر واحد، يا الله أي جحيم جائع هذا للحم الاطفال والابرياء، البيوت ساحات هول ودمار، السماء مسرح النار والذعر… وجاءت ليلة عيدها، انقشع الخوف، ظهرت الشمس من جديد. كان لون الحياة رماديا فجأة عدنا نرى اللون الاخضر. مشحتنا بالحياة بعدما مشحنا من كان “لو يعلم” برماد القبور. وحدها السيدة العذراء اوقفت هدير الدماء، وجهت الرسالة لنا بأننا لسنا وحدنا في هذا العالم مهما استفرد بنا أسياد الشر والحروب، لسنا وحدنا ولن نكون خصوصا في أرض، مهما بدت محروقة، الا ان شعلة القداسة فيها تجد دائما مكانا لتشعّ ولو من قلب قلب الموت. لولا تلك السيدة، لولا ذاك الضوء، لولا ذاك الثوب الحنون الغامر لقلب الحب والرحمة، لكنا الان في غير مكان ولكان لبنان ابتلعه الغول، لكنا الان في الولاية يا سيدة النور، في ولاية العتم والجهل والغياهب. وحدها تلك السيدة وباسم ابنها الرب يسوع، كانت تعلم ان من يدّعون انهم لو كانوا يعلمون، كانوا يعلمون تماما وهم الان في ذروة اليقين وان لم يبوحوا، بان الارض التي يعبر فيها قديسون هي ارض منذورة لله، والارض المنذورة لله لا تسكنها ولا تحتلها ولا تغلبها رياح الغزاة مهما بلغت قوتهم واشتدّ بطشهم وبأسهم…ليلة عيد السيدة العذراء توقفت حرب تموز، وما زال الغزاة الجدد يحاولون، لكن ما همنا لنا ثوب السيدة ولهم كل آلات الموت والموت بحد ذاته…
لهم الحرب ولنا العذراء…

Does thsi writer stand for anything? does she stand for anything except hate toward her country people or she just hates them so much .. Does she think she is able to build a county when her hates toward the shiite so much, doe she see any positive thing to say about the shiite.. I’m a little bit confuse about her stands on issues such as the jihadist that kill and bomb innocent people every day.. I may disagree with the Lebanses forces on some issues but I used to defned them on their stand when it comes to their beleive in Lebanon but to my disappointment the only thing they stand for now is their obvious hate toward the Lebanses shiite, not once I read anything about the salafist and jihadist who kill and bomb people everyday.. You are not going to win this way, I can assure of this, your goal is win the shiite who are not supporter of hizb.But what I read is not only hate toward hizb,( which is your right in politics) but toward the shiite as people.Wake up and be realistic, you still living in the past you need to come and livewwith us in the future, hate does not work anymore ! I’m 100% sure you will definitely fail and fail big..

Miss Vera has the right to talk in politics, than this what she did, because I think
every Lebanese has to question any party or political leader. But to keep on
saying and lightning on her hatred towards Shiite this is absurd. But the real
question her does the Lebanese forces hate the Shiite so much or is it you who
Hates us so much so you keep using the same dialog.

Where did you see a hate speech against the Chiite in here? my eye sight maybe bad due to my old age, but, I looked hard for what you may have seen with no avail… and why Should Vera mentions the Jihadists or the Buddhist or the Jahovah Witness for that matter if the subject she is talking about relates to Hizzeb Allah and Israel war in south Lebanon (without the consent of Lebanese people and government) and the stopping of hostilities on the day of Dormition of our Mother of God ???? So take your unfair judgement back and try to see the positive in here and there are many …. that is if this is what you are looking for ???? !!!!!!
