بعد ايام قليلة على غرق قارب يقل مهاجرين غير شرعيين من اندونيسيا الى استراليا اغلبهم من لبنان والاردن واليمن حيث قضى 17 لبنانياً من عكار على الاقل في الحادث، شهدت مدينة سيدني الاسترالية الاحد مسيرةً منددة بموقف الحكومة الاسترالية من استقبال اللاجئين وللمطالبة بتأمين الحماية لهؤلاء.

You are with the law. Fine. But don’t you have a word of compassion for those who drowned after leaving their – yours too – unstable Lebanon seeking a land of peace and opportunities for themselves and their children? Suppose on Judgement-Day you stand before God (I assume you are a believer) and He/(or She, do we know?) asks you to produce a text you wrote during your life, will you be proud to show Him/Her what you have written on this page? Some compassion dear Leb-Aussie, please, show some compassion for those poor unfortunate Lebanese people.
Whole families perished. They have done the wrong choice but they paid it with their lives. The adults are responsible of their choices, but not the children who were brought there by their parents. So, some compassion would not hurt you, it will show that you still have some humanity, if you have ever had. Otherwise, if it is so difficult for you to be humane, at least stick to the decency of silence, if you know what decency means.
The so called assylum seekers are not refugees. they are people who want to come to AUSRALIA , seeking better life and claiming money from centrelink. your journey is full of danger , pls apply for entry to Australia the proper way.

lots of B.S I see here. it is shame to have all these people dying for nothing just to flee the miseries hopping and in new opportunities at least for the children. in the past most of the immigrants used to be from the Christians but everyone wants to leave Lebanon now. I was there just came back I mean in Lebanon. what is there to stay for? check-points everywhere one there not even from the Lebanese authorities. anyone could stop you anywhere and for no reason. many christian left due to the Syrian persecution when they were Lebanon or the many wars that we had. we have a government that does not even dare to ask the Syrian to stop targeting villages in Akkar that is where most of these people that lost their lives are from. I once crossed illegally crossed from Belgium to France and it does not feel good. thanks God I was lucky to get a student visa to the US were I made it on my own. having Lebanese passport is like a crime to the west I know the difference now because I travel on American thanks God. My nephew with very serious illness life ending disease would not give him a visa because he is a lebanese. nobady care about Lebanese anymore and why should care if we do not care about our own. liberating Palestine, Golan heights, and even the Iranian nukes all has to go through Lebanon. Lebanon must defeat the imperialism. the road to Jerusalem goes through Jounieh. all this rabish talks causing us to die in miseries fleeing what we love the most our land the apple and olive trees fleeing to another countries that we are not even a 2nd class citizens.
