I saw where an explosion down town Beirut killed a decent,
educated and a moderate Lebanese personality. News media was fast to call him a
martyr; I say he was a victim. It appears that whenever a Lebanese politician
or a militia leader is killed or assassinated they become MARTYRS. I see no
logic in that. I also see the big publicity campaign the Lebanese Army is
promoting as they are watching and they are safeguarding the safety of all
Lebanese citizens.
I chose to go to the LAF website to see if there was any
mention of the incident, there was none. The site was inundated with news about
the enemy (Israel) flying surveillance over Lebanon, exploding outdated
munitions and arrests of anti Syrian government militants. Well, it is obvious
that Israel is concerned about its northern borders with Lebanon and I see the
logic behind the flights over Lebanon. What I can’t see is how in the heck a
sensitive area as down town Beirut was not being patrolled or managed by the
army to prevent such a tragedy. THE ARMY CAN’T SEE THE FOREST FOR THE TREE
keeping us busy small stuff while criminals supporting Assad are running the
show.
It appears that moderated political personalities are on the
run for their lives and I do not see how a decent Lebanese would adventure and
risk his/her life taking on a career in politics. It appears like GOD is too
busy counting Lebanese martyrs and the rest of the peaceful world is neglected
by angels and saints.
