اعتبر رئيس حزب الكتائب امين الجميل انه من المهم تأليف حكومة جامعة لتتمكن من التصدي للازمات والمآسي واذا كانت الحكومة هي الاطار الصحيح لهذا اللقاء فلا مانع.
ولفت الى ان “ما يطرحه “كلقاء وطني” يتجاوز منطق الحكومة، لان الحكومة ستتشكل لادارة مرحلة معينة ضيقة، انما نحن ننظر الى عمق المشكلة التي يعانيها لبنان منذ فترة، والضياع على صعيد التصور الوطني لان الازمة في سوريا والتطورات في المنطقة اثارت بلبلة في الوضع اللبناني ككل وفي علاقات اللبنانيين مع بعضهم البعض، وأوجدت ضبابية على صعيد القضية اللبنانية والتوجه اللبناني”.
واضاف: “اعتقد انه آن الاوان لنتوقف عند هذه القضية وعند علاقتنا مع بعضنا البعض، فعندما نتحدث عن دور لبنان ورسالته فذلك يستوجب وجود مستلزمات، واذا توقفت كل القوى السياسية عند مأساة اللبنانيين والجو الضبابي فسيكون لدينا الكثير من الامور لمناقشتها، ولذلك أدعو الى مؤتمر وطني لنحدد مسببات كل هذا الضياع على الصعيد الوطني ونفتش عن الآليات التي تساعد على حل هذه الامور”.

With due respect to alKataeb and its martyrs, I do not understand why you insist on a collective government to do what, to paralyze its ability to function. It is time to stop giving in to the pressure Hizballah is exerting on 14 March. I think if all 14 March would take one solid unwavering stance and stick to it, the outcome would be more effective and the people would better understand why and they would support you all. you don’t need to play politics, the daily lives of the people are at stake, the people are suffering and Hizballah does not care; 14 March leadership should understand that Hizballah’s priorities are not a democratic Lebanon, either Hizballah ‘s way or no other way. So do not fall into the trap over and over again…
There should not be a national reconciliation with Hizballah until Hizballah turns its weapons arsenal to the government and annuls its militia permanently.
