اكد رئيس الجمهورية العماد ميشال سليمان ان فرحه العظيم ان تبقى الرئاسة الاولى قبلة المؤسسات، مشيرا الى اهمية الديمقراطية وتداول السلطة والمناقشة والحوار والتصويت، ومشددا على ان مَن يفكر في تعطيل النصاب مخطىء لانه يعني تعطيل التصويت، وهو عمل غير ديمقراطي.
وقال سليمان في حديث لمجلة “الامن العام”: إن رئاسة الجمهورية لم تبدأ معي، ولن تنتهي مع انتهاء الولاية الدستورية”، داعيا الى “تحصين الوحدة الوطنية التي هي اغلى ما لدينا وعلينا تطبيق القوانين والدستور وتحديدا اتفاق الطائف الذي حمى الجميع”.
وتوقع سليمان ان يقبل لبنان على فترة جيدة، وزوال العاصفة عن سوريا، كاشفا ان طموحه يتمثل في القاء خطاب المغادرة في قصر بعبدا، قائلاً: “قد اعطيت التعليمات بتحضيره، وان اسلم رئيسا منتخبا بشكل طبيعي”.
واوضح الرئيس سليمان: “نحن نسعى الى حكومة توافقية، لكن اذا لم يتح ذلك لسبب او لآخر لا يمكن ابقاء البلد بلا حكومة”، مضيفا: “هل يستطيع رئيس الجمهورية الذي يطالب بتعديل صلاحياته التخلي عن صلاحية موجودة في الدستور، ولا يوقع مرسوم تأليف الحكومة؟”.

There is no such a thing called Lebanon as a Country, The Lebanese Army isn’t a
Lebanese any more.
You need to split the country and have it the way it has been where WE had the East
Beirut.
What Hizbullah are doing is clearing Lebanon from all its opponents so they can
take the country for themselves.
Splitting the country will put them in a weaker position and they’ll become
vulnerable toward the International Community and the world.
As long as they are hiding behind the Government, the Army and the “Country” as
a whole, their chances of surviving is higher.
