قررت اللجنة الاولمبية في جلسة استثنائية عقدتها الثلثاء استناداً الى الدعوة الموجهة من قبل رئيس اللجنة الاولمبية اللبنانية جان همام، الابقاء على مشاركة البطلة اللبنانية جاكي شمعون بعد الضجة الاعلامية التي حصلت مؤخراً اثر نشر صور لها وهي شبه عارية وهي تتصور في منطقة كفرذبيان لخدمة احدى الاعلانات الرياضية.
واستنكرت اللجنة تصرف اللاعبة ومضمون ما نشر جملة وتفصيلا واعتباره لا يمثل الصورة الحقيقية للرياضيين اللبنانيين.
ودعت الجهات الرسمية المعنية للتحرك واعتبار بيان اللجنة الاولمبية بمثابة إخبار، كما دعت اتحاد التزلج على الثلج لاجراء التحقيق الفوري وافادة اللجنة الاولمبية بنتيجته باسرع وقت ممكن ليبنى على الشيء مقتضاه.
وابقت اللجنة جلسات اللجنة التنفيذية للجنة الاولمبية مفتوحة لمتابعة التحقيقات الجارية.
ونظرا للقانون الاولمبي وتطبيقا للشرعة الاولمبية بعدم امكانية سحب اي لاعب من المسابقات الاولمبية خاصة وان المخالفة لم تحصل خلال فترة الاعداد والمشاركة في هذه الالعاب الاولمبية الشتوية ودون معرفة اللجنة الاولمبية اللبنانية بمضمون ما نشر عند تسمية اللاعبة شمعون تقرر الابقاء على مشاركتها في الالعاب الاولمبية الحالية على ان يتخذ قرار توقيفها عن المشاركات الاولمبية والخارجية بعد ورود نتيجة تحقيق اتحاد اللعبة.
وكان مصدر في الاتحاد اللبناني للتزلج سأل عن سبب التوقيت في نشر صور المتزلجة اللبنانية الأولمبية جاكي شمعون على الإنترنيت بعد مرور ثلاثة أعوام على التصوير الذي جرى في منطقة عيون السيمان في حضور والديها، وهل الهدف قطع الطريق على تحقيق لبنان اي نتيجة في هذا المضمار، بعدما نجحت شمعون بالتأهل لهذا الاستحقاق الرياضي العالمي نتيجة الجهد الكبير الذي قامت به؟!

ولاحقاً، طلب وزير الشباب والرياضة فيصل كرامي التحقيق في صور البطلة الأولمبية جاكي شمعون.
وصدر عن مؤسسة كميل شمعون بياناً استنكرت فيه الحملة ضد جاكي شمعون.
كما استنكرت “إعلاميون ضد العنف” الحملة ضد شمعون.

Mr Faisal Afandi should contact youtube and investigate who uploaded this video of a private person without her consent , what stops someone of video taping someone famous in a shower room and putting it on youtube for fun , Jackie is the victim mr minister of sports and you should help her instead of trying to reward
the criminals but a government that think the killings of Rola and Manal by their husbands is ok and the forced marriages of 11 and 13 years old girls is ok also , isn’t qualified to seek justice anytime soon .
